    Session 1

    Teacher Training
    5 classes + In-class-co-teaching
10 am to 1 pm, Session classes
    Application Required, Link to applications.

This session involves learning theories, human learning, methodology, and tools for teaching tango. Participants in this session will be assigned times to do in-class-co-teaching with Brigitta and Tomas during Session 2 or 3. In the morning classes we will work with theme-oriented sequences tailored to suit a part of the master class, open class or practica.

You will then continue practicing and teaching throughout the day. While participating as in-class-co-teachers in Sessions 2 or 3, you will:

    • Have a role during the afternoon and evening classes
    • Learn about and practice teaching in a group.
    • Develop your one on one teaching skills.
    • Have access to handouts with "teacher notes and commentary" about the tango class that is taking place.
    • Learn to effectively supervise a practica.

As a dancer, you will enjoy the benefits of quality teaching that emerges from a collaborative effort facilitated by Brigitta and Tomas. Teachers in training can learn tools that they can immediately apply and form a joined teaching ethic with students and teachers to encourage creativity and build community.
